Siamsinpawlpi is a students’ welfare organisation founded to attend the educational and developmental needs of the students. It was established on 13th January, 1947 at Mission Compound, Churachandpur, Manipur. With the motto of Learn, Labour & Serve, the Organisation initially aims to instil the spirit of education among the first generation learning community.
Christianized and introduced to education, the South District of Manipur was then critically underserved. First generation educationists and students felt the need to introduce community based initiative to assist, guide and encourage the educational endeavour of the learning community which gave birth to the Organisation.
The Organisation, nurtured by volunteerism and philanthropy, had undergone tremendous growth and emerge as one of the premiere students’ organisations in Manipur as well as the Northeastern region of India.
Siamsinpawlpi has contributed tremendously to the educational and developmental need of the community. It has undertaken activities and programmes that seek to enhance opportunities and development in various educational fields, is well recognized and had several laurels to its credit. The Organisation has a vibrant grass-root presence in rural areas in particular and Churachandpur at large apart from Manipur, various states of India and abroad wherever its members reside.
